PROCEEDINGS:

In the TANGEDCO Proceedings under
reference 1st cited, among other things orders have been issued in Annexure
Part-I, Work Allocation and Staff Pattern for Field Workmen (RWE) in
Distribution Circles in Para (18), Page No.9 that
“One
Special Grade Foreman per Sub-Division shall be created in all the Rural and
Hill Distribution and Construction areas wherever Special Grade Foreman posts
are not provided to the Section under the Sub-Division duly abolishing one post
of Foreman I Grade. The Special Grade
Foreman so created be utilised in Sections wherever necessary”.
2) To implement the above
norms, the proposals have been called for from the Superintending Engineers of
O&M Distribution Circles and scrutinised carefully.
3) According to the above,
sanction is hereby accorded for creation of totally 459 posts of Special Grade Foreman to the existing Rural O&M
Sub-Divisions, Hill Sub-Divisions and C&I Sub-Divisions in O&M
Distribution Circles by abolishing 382 Nos. Foreman I Grade posts in the
O&M Sections, Hill Sections and 77
Nos. Line Inspector posts in C&I
Sections under the control of concerned Sub-Divisions as noted in each of the
Circle mentioned in Annexure-I enclosed.

4) The name of the eligible O&M
Sub-Divisions and C&I Sub-Divisions for sanctioning the Spl. Grade Foreman
posts in all O&M Distribution Circles as Circle-wise are detailed in
Annexure II enclosed. The Superintending Engineers of O&M Distribution
Circles shall utilise the Spl. Grade
Foreman post in the O&M and C&I Sections under the concerned Sub-Divisions
wherever necessary by abolishing the existing Foreman I Grade/ Line Inspector
post as ordered in Para (3) above.
5)
The incumbents of the created posts will be eligible to draw the usual Pay,
Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance
and other allowances if any
at the rates as admissible under the orders in force wherever applicable.
6) Consequent on the present Revision of Work
allocation of Staff pattern, there shall not be any retrenchment/ reversion as
per the orders in Para (3) (ii) & (iii) in the B.P. 1st cited.
7) The Superintending
Engineers of O&M Distribution Circles concerned are requested to intimate
the actual date of utilisation/ abolition of the posts promptly.
8) The
expenditure is debitable
to "Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Funds - Revenue Expenses – O&M
Distribution Circles concerned - 75-Employees Cost”.
9) The receipt of the TANGEDCO Proceedings shall
be acknowledged.
