PROCEEDINGS:
In
the letter fifth read above, the Secretary to Government/Energy Department has
forwarded a copy of the approved list of twelve Advocates for appointment as
Standing Counsels in TANGEDCO in certain districts.
2. In
continuation of the Standing Counsels’ appointment in the proceedings first to
fourth read above, the following twelve Advocates are hereby appointed as
Standing Counsels to represent the cases of TANGEDCO/TANTRANSCO/TNEB Limited
before the Civil Court in the respective Electricity Distribution Circles and
they are allocated with the Distribution Circle(s) noted against each:-

Engineer/Nagapattinam EDC may allocate the pending/future cases to the Standing
Counsels based on the administrative convenience.

The appointment of the above said Standing Counsels shall be subject to the Terms
and Conditions of appointment as stipulated in the annexure to these
proceedings. They will be paid a
retainer fee of a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) each per month
from the date of assuming charge as Standing
Counsel in TANGEDCO. The fee for the
work done by them will be regulated in accordance with the orders issued in
(Per) B.P.(FB) No.78 (SB) dated 07.12.1999, (Per) B.P.(FB) No.45 (SB) dated 21.08.2002
and (Per) B.P.(Ch) No.76 (SB) dated 28.03.2007.
4. In
view of the appointment of Standing Counsels made to Erode EDC and Tirunelveli
Region, the Advocates viz.,Tvl.E.S.Appusamy and C.Perumal, who are presently
handling cases relating to Erode EDC and Tirunelveli Region respectively are

hereby relieved forthwith and they are requested to
hand over the case bundles along with
their consent/signature for the change of vakalat.
