Proceedings.
The Board Level Tender Committee has
approved the proposal for enhancement of monthly ceiling limit fixed for hiring
of vehicles for a period of six months
only as detailed below:
i.
Enhancement
of monthly ceiling limit fixed for hiring of diesel driven Non AC Car for the
official use of Superintending Engineers and equivalent officers in TANGEDCO
from Rs.20,000/- or less than Rs.20,000/- to Rs.25,000/- per month.
ii
Enhancement of monthly ceiling limit fixed for hiring of diesel driven
AC Car
for the official use of Chief Engineer and
equivalent officers in TANGEDCO
from
Rs.20,000/- or less than Rs.20,000/- to Rs.28,000/- per month.
iii. Enhancement of monthly ceiling limit fixed for
hiring of diesel driven Van/Jeep
for the
official use of TANGEDCO officers from Rs.22,000/- or
less
than Rs.22,000/- to Rs.26,000/- per month.
iv. Enhancement of monthly ceiling limit fixed for
hiring of diesel driven Van/Jeep
for the
official use of officers of MRT Division/Sub-division/Special
Maintenance Sub-division and Fuse off Call centre(FOC), in TANGEDCO from
Rs.22,000/- or less than Rs.22,000/- to Rs.30,000/- per month.

Enhancement of monthly ceiling limit fixed for hiring of diesel driven
Non-AC
Car for
the official use of Superintending Engineers and equivalent officers in
Thermal
Stations from Rs.11,000/-, Rs.15,000/-, Rs.16,000/- and Rs.18,000/-
to
Rs.25,000/- per month on par with other Superintending Engineers.

The BLTC discussed the subject in detail
and approved the proposal initially for a period of six months. The BLTC
suggested to examine the possibility of restricting the monthly ceiling limit
in respect of non-AC diesel cars as well as other modes of conveyance since the
proposed enhancement of ceiling limit has the impact of increasing the total
cost by Rs.3.00 to Rs.3.50 crores per annum.
The BLTC
directed to find out from the Tamil Nadu Government departments as to whether
the POCS/PCOUS Scheme is still in operation/existence. In case the PCOUS is in
operation, necessary proposal may be placed before BLTC for appropriate
decision.
The
Quality of Service and Vehicle are to be ensured during award of hiring
contract.
The
BLTC directions are to be strictly adhered and suitable reply may be sent for
placing before BLTC.
